Windows 10 Support Ends October 14, What Can I Do?

by Justin Erickson

Windows 10 reaches end of support on October 14, 2025. After that date, devices won’t receive monthly security or bug fixes unless enrolled in Extended Security Updates (ESU), which run until October 13, 2026. To do this on a Windows 10 device, go to your “Windows Updates” tab in settings. At the bottom of the page, there will be a link that says “Enroll now”. Click it, sign in with your Microsoft account (or create one), and follow the instructions. Although it is recommended to enroll before October 14th, you can do so any time after – up until the extended security updates end. If you really don’t want to create a Microsoft account, paying a one time $30 fee is available as well. For more information about what else you can do before support ends, click the links below.
