I-O Data Routers Targeted in Zero-Day Attacks, Full Patches Pending
by Justin Erickson
I-O Data has confirmed that its routers are being actively targeted in zero-day attacks. Exploited vulnerabilities allow attackers to gain unauthorized access and compromise connected devices. While the company has released interim mitigations, complete firmware patches are still under development for 2 of the three vulnerabilities, which are expected to be released on December 18. Users are strongly advised to apply the available updates immediately, restrict access to their routers, and monitor for unusual network activity. These attacks highlight the growing risks to IoT and networking devices, emphasizing the need for proactive security measures.
