Google Releases Chrome 152 With 327 Security Fixes

by Justin Erickson

Google has released Chrome 152 for Windows, macOS, and Linux with fixes for 327 security vulnerabilities, including 10 rated Critical and 61 rated High severity. Android and iOS also received this Chrome 152 update with the same security fixes. Google discovered 299 of the vulnerabilities internally, many identified with the help of AI. The remaining issues were reported to Google by outside researchers. None of them have been actively exploited in the wild. 2 of these vulnerabilities are important to highlight: First, CVE-2026-79282 – a critical use-after-free vulnerability in Chrome’s ANGLE graphics layer. A malicious webpage could exploit this to execute arbitrary code outside Chrome’s browser sandbox. Goodluck (The researcher who reported the flaw) was rewarded a $25,000 bounty. Second, CVE-2026-78899 – another high-severity use-after-free vulnerability in the V8 JavaScript engine. Similarly, a malicious webpage could exploit this to execute arbitrary code – this time inside the sandbox.

TLDR: Update your Chrome-based browser.
