73 GitHub Repos Pulled Because Of Potential Malware Amid Supply-Chain Attack
by Justin Erickson
Microsoft temporarily removed 73 GitHub repositories across its Azure, Microsoft, Azure-Samples, and MicrosoftDocs organizations on June 5th, 2026, after detecting ‘potential malicious content’. These were contained within 105 seconds. When Microsoft was asked who was affected, they said “We notified a small number of customers who may have pulled down content from the affected repositories.” The incident is also linked to the broader Miasma/Shai-Hulud software supply-chain campaign.
