Google Deleting Inactive Accounts

by Artie Kaye

In an update to their services, Google has made it known that starting December 2023 accounts which have been inactive for at least two years are subject to deletion.  Anything associated with the account such as email, videos, Google Drive content, will be gone along with the account.  The company will attempt to contact via secondary email addresses to inform users before a deletion.  To avoid a deletion there are simple methods that can be employed, including watching a video on YouTube, sending an email, or downloading an app from the store.  The announcement from Google is below.
