Chrome Patch Time

Another reminder to keep your software updated as google releases a patch for a 0-day bug in their Chrome browser.  This bug allowed code to be run through the javascript engine.  Update Chrome, anything after 99.0.4844.84.  The severity of Chrome updates will be marked by green, yellow or red in the upper right of the browser.  

This flaw is listed as CVE-2022-1096.

Kaspersky No Longer Trusted by FCC

Virus and malware scanning is a critical part of network and computer safety.  Kaspersky is a well-known cybersecurity company whose software is used worldwide.  The FCC has marked the company as a risk to national security.  This is stepping up their stance with the company from 2017 when they prohibited Kaspersky software from being installed on government computers.  Kaspersky holds that it has done nothing to warrant this treatment.
